A Day of Gratitude and God’s Perfect Timing

Breakfast ~ 16/12/2024

As Paulus prepared breakfast, I gazed out at the majestic mountains from our apartment at Swiss Holiday Park, feeling such peace and awe at God’s creation. Little did I know, the day would unfold with so many unexpected blessings. πŸ”οΈπŸ₯β˜•

We had planned to explore the mountain the next day, but as we stood at the information counter, a kind stranger walked in and encouraged us to go today instead. β€œIt’s sunny now,” he said, β€œand tomorrow might be unpredictable with winter weather.” He had driven all the way for this, and something about his words stirred us. So, we decided to listen.

We set off toward Luftseilbahn Morschach and up to the Fronalpstock mountain, but when we arrived, we got lostβ€”there was no one in sight. Just as uncertainty started to set in, we met an Indian-Australian couple and their young son who had also just arrived. We struck up a conversation and, to our surprise, they were going to the same place! Their kindness amazed meβ€”they waited for us, shared the journey, and we got to know each other as we rode up together.

As I sat on the cable car, with snow-covered peaks surrounding us and skiers gliding down the slopes, I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude. I thought back to my childhood dreamsβ€”dreams of experiencing snow, mountains, and the wonder of watching people ski. And here I was, living that very dream, surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation.

Paulus and I hadn’t planned this day, but God had. He sent angelsβ€”one after anotherβ€”to guide us: the stranger at the counter, the kind Indian-Australian family, and the perfect weather.

I realised how much God cares about the little details in our lives. Trusting in Jesus and being led by the Holy Spirit truly brings moments of surprise and joy that we could never plan ourselves.

β€œThe heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” – Proverbs 16:9

Today was a reminder to me: even when we feel clueless or unsure, God is always at work. As I looked out at the snowy mountains, my heart overflowed with gratitude. I will remember this day foreverβ€”not just for the beauty I saw, but for the kindness we experienced, the connections we made, and the joy of knowing God had orchestrated it all.

Thank you, Jesus, for always leading us to unexpected blessings. My heart is so full. πŸ”οΈβ„οΈπŸ™

A Day to Remember, Wrapped in Gratitude

After an exciting and unexpected adventure, we decided to head back to our cozy apartment. Once again, Paulus took charge and prepared dinnerβ€”adding yet another layer of warmth to an already beautiful day.

As I sat and reflected on everything, my heart felt so full. I am so, so blessed to have Paulus in my life. His thoughtfulness, love, and quiet strength remind me of how much God has blessed me.

Today was a day of surprises, kindness, and gratitude. From the mountain peaks to the simple joy of a shared meal, I am reminded that God’s goodness shines through in every little moment. Thank you, Lord, for Paulus, for today, and for Your never-ending love. πŸ”οΈβ„οΈπŸ½οΈβ€οΈ
